KnowArk K–12 Online Academy

Start with high school. Expand opportunity backward.

KnowArk is developing a K–12 academy for refugee and displaced learners, beginning with a proposed high-school pathway. No new high-school cohort or diploma route is open. The four learning areas below describe the direction being built with future educators and partners.

Our core offerings

Learning designed around the barriers refugees actually face.

Each offering solves a different break in the education journey. Together, they create a bridge from interrupted schooling to a recognized credential, economic mobility and higher education.

Hybrid by design

Online learning, supported locally.

KnowArk is exploring partnerships with refugee-serving centers that could pair portable learning with devices, connectivity, safe study space, educators and mentoring. Each site would need approved academic, operational and safeguarding arrangements before learner delivery.

01

Proposed High School Pathway

KnowArk is contacting ASU Prep Academy to identify appropriate decision-makers and explore whether a future partnership is possible. No agreement, approval, course access, credit, transcript, enrollment or diploma arrangement is in place. A learner cohort would require ASU Prep approval and the necessary contracts and authorizations first.

  • Online access across locations and time zones
  • Clear academic progression and student support
  • A credible pathway toward college and career goals
02

TVET

Technical and vocational education and training connects learning to livelihoods. KnowArk’s TVET direction focuses on practical, market-relevant skills that can lead toward work, entrepreneurship and greater economic independence.

  • Applied technical and digital skills
  • Career exploration and employability
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and problem solving
03

English as a Second Language

ESL helps students use English with confidence in classrooms, applications, workplaces and daily life. Learning is connected to real academic and career goals, not treated as an isolated subject.

  • Academic and conversational English
  • Communication for work and interviews
  • Language support across other KnowArk programs
04

College Preparation

College preparation turns aspiration into a plan. Learners strengthen academic readiness, understand application processes, build compelling profiles and identify scholarship and university pathways.

  • Academic readiness and study skills
  • Application and personal-statement guidance
  • Scholarship navigation and mentoring

KnowArk is building these pathways in phases. An interest inquiry helps us understand learner needs; it is not an application or offer of placement. No new high-school cohort is open.

In development

High school coursework

KnowArk is in exploratory outreach to ASU Prep Academy. No academic agreement or learner enrollment route is approved. Course access, tuition, credit, transcript and diploma terms cannot be offered unless the required approval and contracting are complete.
