Organization

Knowledge Ark Inc.

Headquarters

Phoenix, Arizona

1922 E Van Buren St, Phoenix, AZ 85006, United States. Administrative headquarters only; KnowArk does not currently deliver learner services in Arizona.

Founding roots

Cairo, Egypt

The model grew from Ashraf A. Ismail’s experience teaching at St. Andrew’s Refugee Services and trying to help learners recover missed lessons.

Model

Online plus partner centers

Portable coursework combined with local spaces, connectivity, mentoring and community support where available.

Grade vision

K–12 vision, starting with a proposed high-school pathway

Secondary education is the first proposed academic focus. No new high-school cohort is open; earlier grades depend on future curriculum, staffing and approvals.

Program pillars

Four connected offerings

High school coursework, TVET, English language learning and college preparation.

Learner community

Connected across countries and nationalities.

KnowArk has reported historical learner or community connections in Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda. People in this wider community have roots in Burundi, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iraq, Libya, Palestine, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. These country and nationality lists are not current-cohort or completion counts.

KnowArk will publish dated, verified totals for inquiries, participation, enrollment and completion separately. No new high-school cohort is currently enrolling.

Long-term ambition

A large goal, measured through verified progress.

KnowArk’s stated ten-year ambition is to help 250,000 learners graduate and move toward tertiary education or TVET. This is a forward-looking organizational goal, not a claim of current enrollment or completions.

Mission alignment

Refugee tertiary access

The organization’s work aligns with the broader international goal of expanding refugee participation in tertiary education.
